Potawatomi Zoo Red Panda Exhibit

Overview

Ancon Construction designed and built the Red Panda Exhibit at Potawatomi Zoo in South Bend, Indiana. The exhibit was thoughtfully planned to support the red pandas’ natural behaviors and care needs while creating an engaging, up-close experience for zoo visitors.

The habitat is enclosed with safari fencing and features two Chinese-inspired pavilions with nesting boxes for the red pandas. A stamped concrete viewing area, glass viewing walls, and surrounding landscaping allow guests to observe the animals closely while complementing the exhibit’s natural setting.

Founded in 1902, the Potawatomi Zoo is Indiana’s oldest zoo. The Red Panda Exhibit is one of several projects Ancon Construction has completed for the zoo.
