The Goodwill Mission Services facility in Elkhart is a 48,000-square-foot adaptive reuse project, transforming part of the former Sears Department Store at the old Pierre Moran Mall. This location houses the Goodwill Excel Center, The Academy, Kids Excel Center, and workforce development offices.

The design maximizes the building’s existing 25’x25’ column spacing, incorporating classrooms, training rooms, conference rooms, and office spaces. A central student lounge, illuminated by multiple skylights, brings natural light into the heart of the building. A large interior window system creates transparency and clear sightlines between spaces. The design also features vibrant wall colors, floor patterns, and intricately detailed ceiling elements.
