Through a capital campaign, Oaklawn and Ancon designed and built a wonderful facility within 83 days. It’s connected to the building and contains four main classrooms, a resource center, a computer lab, and several offices. We went from old, worn-out modular buildings to a very new, updated facility.
“It was a phenomenal project, and one I feel blessed to have been part of. It was quite an undertaking on their part, and we’re so grateful for Ancon and everything that they did. They weren’t just a design/build firm, but a partner in the project.“

Jim Dague, CEO, Goshen Health Systems from the Elkhart Truth, Sunday, April 30, 2000, talking about the cost estimating phase of Goshen Health System’s Cancer Treatment Addition. “The process of having Ancon, an independent construction manager and project designers working together to choose subcontractors (and value engineer), saved $2 million from pre-bid estimates.”

In January 2020, we celebrated the ribbon-cutting of our partner Heart City Health opening their new Women’s Health Center. It was an exciting day as the new office will offer prenatal, primary, and postpartum care and ultrasounds. The office is in a convenient location and currently taking patients.
Visit the new center at 1545 Cassopolis St. in Elkhart!
“I can dream it, but Ancon always makes it come to life.”

Unity Surgical Arts is a 2-story, 30,000 square-foot surgery center completed in 2004, conventional structural steel. Ancon was brought on board at the design development stage to work with the architect on budgeting. The building team redesigned the mechanical systems to bring the project into the budget. Pre-construction services included cost estimating, scheduling, and value engineering—negotiated Lump Sum General Construction Agreement. While not technically a design-build project since the Owner held the contract for the architect, Ancon worked closely with ACI Boland during the design phase to maintain the schedule and budget. The project cost 4.5 million.
