Our People, Their Story. Celebrating 35 Years
At the end of 2024, we recognize Lloyd for 35 years of service as an Employee-Owner at Ancon Construction. His story is one of hard work, passion, and a commitment to building a successful career in the construction industry.
From a young age, Lloyd knew exactly what he wanted to do — build. After high school, he dove into residential construction and tried his hand at a few other roles before finding his home at Ancon. It was here that he started as a carpenter and progressed into the role of a job site superintendent.
“Ancon Construction has always been really good to me. They helped me grow my career,” Lloyd shares. That support, combined with his drive, helped him thrive in a company that matched his values. Early on, Lloyd caught the attention of Ancon’s founder, Andy Frech.
“Lloyd had the respect of employees and subs because he had an honest and no-nonsense attitude but a good sense of humor and easy laugh, which gave them the confidence to do their job well,” shares Andy.
Throughout the decades, Lloyd has been part of countless projects, each with its own challenges and rewards. Among those he holds in high regard are the Edison Lakes development and the Goshen High School pool.
Now celebrating 35 years, Lloyd reflects with pride and offers advice to the next generation entering the trades: “Know what you want out of life and work to achieve it.”
