Description:  Featuring four River Otters, the exhibit allows visitors of all ages to enjoy the otter’s playful world from the seclusion of a shaded pavilion with underwater viewing.  The project also includes a walking path, viewing area, exhibit wall, holding building, waterfall/lagoon, and moat.

Riverside Terrace

Name: Riverside Terrace
Location:  Mishawaka, Indiana
Description:  Award of Honor of the 2012 ABC of Indiana Renovation – Non Historical Category.  The project includes the transformation an abandoned gymnasium into a 7,000 square foot upscale ballroom venue. The project features a 12’ tall fire place, 12’ tall water wall, integral color concrete floor, wood dance floor, and 14 large ceiling clouds which incorporate lighting and sound systems. Large windows and full glass doors were installed in the north wall to maximize day-lighting and spectacular views of the St. Joseph River. The exterior façade incorporates large wall beacons, curved entrance canopy, 12’ tall metal wall trellis systems, and overlook patio on the banks of the river.

Description:  The Lakeville Public Library is centered around “A Lakefront Experience”. The library includes a highly technologically focused interior along with outdoor reading and learning areas which appear to float in a sea of native grasses.

Morris Scout Center

Location:  South Bend, Indiana
Description:  In order to expand their ability to serve the more than 15,000 youth in their area of responsibility, the LaSalle Council of the Boy Scouts of America teamed up with the City of South Bend and the University of Notre Dame to develop this new facility.  The building features a large two-story lobby space, a retail shop for scouting equipment, a conference and training room with full multimedia capability, and a large office wing which supports the day-today operation of the organization.

Benton Township Fire Station

Morris Civic Plaza

Name: Morris Civic Plaza
Location:  South Bend, Indiana
Description:  The Morris Civic Plaza is a public space for the gathering of theatre patrons before and after shows, concerts and musicals.  The historic Morris Performing Arts Center is a backdrop for the fountains, landscaping, and seating. The terrace like plaza with steps and differing levels acts as an informal stage within itself, providing places for concerts and presentations.  The plaza, which was designed and built to commemorate a long time city official, Jon R. Hunt, overlooks the skyline of South Bend and the St. Joseph River.

Warsaw Central Park

Location:  Warsaw, Indiana
Description:  Central Park, located on Ft. Wayne Street, joins Center Lake Park with Zimmer’s International Headquarters and serves as a focal point for downtown Warsaw.  The beautifully landscaped eight acre park is home to many outdoor summer events and festivals. Equipped with a fountain, outside entertainment facilities and easy accessibility, Central Park hosts weekly concerts in the summer as well as numerous festivals and other activities. During the Christmas season the park features a spectacular light display.

Shiojiri Niwa Gardens

Name: Shiojiri Niwa Gardens
Location:  Mishawaka, Indiana
Description:  One of the very few Japanese strolling gardens in Indiana, Shiojiri Niwa symbolizes the sister-city relationship between Mishawaka and the city directly on the opposite side of the Earth, Shiojiri City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. The strolling garden is home to many large, colorful plants that deeply contrast the grey gravel that is raked in such a way as to imitate water. Also contrasting the colorful wildlife, are over 200 boulders, placed artfully in groupings most often of 3 or 5 and situated to allow for maximum contemplation. The garden also is home to four bridges. A teahouse stands at the far end of the garden and is elevated so as to allow perfect viewing of the entire garden.
